Please note that the requirements for UK working visas changed in November 2008
The two main visas used by our applicants are the Youth Mobility (Tier 5) visa and
the Ancestral visa.
The British Government have a different approach to each of these visas. The Youth
Mobility visa is offered to citizens of Australia, New Zealand and Canada and is
viewed as an offer, but not as a right. The Ancestral visa is seen differently by
the British Government as you have the right to apply by having a parent or grandparent
born in the UK.
The rules for obtaining a Youth Mobility (Tier 5) visa are precise. If any mistake
is made with the visa application, the British High Commission will automatically
reject the application, leaving you with little ability to appeal. We therefore
strongly recommend you seek our assistance with your visa applications to ensure
you comply with all visa requirements. We can help to make the visa heartache seem
simple! To be eligible for an Ancestral visa, a parent or grandparent has to have
been born in the UK. You will need to provide details of all their birth certificates
and marriage certificates (for both parents and grandparents).
If you apply with The London Pub Co and you are eligible for either visa, you can
request a letter addressed to The British High Commission from London Pub Co to
confirm you will receive a job placement prior to your arrival into the UK. This
assists both an application for a Youth Mobility (Tier 5) visa and Ancestral visa.
The London Pub Co will also assist you at no charge to complete your visa.
Please allow plenty of time when applying for your visa, as the British High Commission
are busy all year round.
